Acceptable Use Policy
The rules for email sent through Emlyra. Breaking them can lead to suspension.
Effective 24 October 2026
1. Why these rules exist
Every customer shares the reputation of our sending IPs and domains. One sender of unwanted email can get mail from everyone blocked. These rules keep Emlyra deliverable for all customers and protect recipients. They apply to email sent through the API, the SMTP relay and campaigns, and to everyone using your account.
2. Permission is required
- Send only to people who clearly agreed to receive your email from you, or who have an existing customer relationship with you and would expect it. Keep a record of when and how each person agreed.
- Never use purchased, rented, shared, scraped or harvested lists, or addresses you collected for another purpose.
- Transactional email (receipts, password resets, alerts) must be related to something the recipient did or asked for.
- Remove people who unsubscribe, complain or bounce. We do this automatically and you may not re-add them.
3. Every marketing email must
- come from a domain you own and have verified with us, with an honest From name and address;
- have a subject line that matches the content;
- include a working unsubscribe link and your postal address;
- identify you as the sender.
4. Content that is never allowed
- Phishing, impersonation of another person, brand or authority, or attempts to collect passwords, card or bank details.
- Malware, links to malware, or deceptive links and redirects.
- Scams, pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes, unlicensed financial, gambling or pharmaceutical offers.
- Illegal content, including material that infringes copyright or privacy, sexual content involving minors, or content that promotes violence or hatred.
- Adult content, unless agreed with us in writing beforehand.
5. Healthy sending
We watch bounce and complaint rates. As a guide, stay below 2% hard bounces and well below 0.1% spam complaints, which is what Gmail and Yahoo expect of bulk senders. Above these levels sending may be slowed or paused automatically until the list is cleaned.
- Do not try to get around our limits, suppression lists, warm-up or reviews, for example by opening several accounts or rotating domains.
- Do not hide the true sender, forge headers or use our service to relay mail for others without our agreement.
- Do not use the reply-domain inbox to receive mail for domains or people you are not entitled to.
6. What we do about it
We may hold or refuse messages, pause sending, require you to clean a list, or suspend or close the account. In serious cases we act immediately and may report illegal activity to the authorities. Fees are not refunded for accounts closed for abuse.
7. Report abuse
If you received unwanted email sent through Emlyra, forward it with its headers to support@nesliferesearch.com. We investigate every report.
